Kyrie goes up the stairs with Rudolf to find the source of the shot.
With the limited amount of bullets available no one would fire without reason. She wouldn't hesitate to open fire if needed be.

Kyrie and Rudolf sprint up the stairs in search of the source of the gunshot.
Rudolf is in the Guest Bedroom.
Surrounded by Battler, George, and Eva; George lies in the middle of the guest bedroom. His face disfigured by a close range blast of some kind. The door is wide open. Eva kneels at her son's feet, weeping.
Shannon looks away from the scene; covering her face with his eyes. Battler is tear-stricken with disbelief and shock.
Kyrie aims her gun at Eva. then swings it around at Battler and Shannon. She does not say a word but makes no action.

The moment she notices no immediate threat, Kyrie speaks up, "We heard a gunshot and darted here. What in the world happened in this room?"
While awaiting an answer, she does not lower her weapon and gazes around the room: what is the room's layout exactly? What furniture is there?

Battler pipes up: "We were locked away in separate rooms. Eva and I were here, I broke through the window and climbed down and found Shannon. We went to get George but he'd somehow disappeared. We only now found him here! It doesn't make sense! How did he get here!? The door was locked!"
Around the room are your average contents of a Guest Room. A double bed, headboard, two end tables either side. There is a small desk with a rotary phone on it. The bed has been unmade as the sheets have formed a makeshift rope leading out the broken window leading into the courtyard, however the makeshift rope appears to have been broken short. Out the window a small second sheet has fallen onto the wet courtyard concrete, flapping and flailing in the wind. There is a small ensuite bathroom with a shower-bath, toilet, and sink. George's body is lazily slumped back against a dresser which has a fresh spattering of red across it. There is also Shannon. Who is furniture.

Nothing looks particularly suspicious, but some ideas slowly formed on Kyrie's mind.
"So you left through the window and left Eva by herself. Does that mean Eva was alone in here the entire time?"
Fully knowing Eva may not answer in her current state, she indirectly passes the question by asking Battler instead.
She then crouches and looks under the bed. Blood anywhere? Or anything at all?
Upon checking that out, Kyrie stands and stares at Shannon, "And Battler says he stumbled on you, but where exactly were you?"

Battler explains, "We were both going to get out of the room together but the sheets untied as I was climbing down. We knew Shannon had the key to Aunt Rosa's room, and we knew she had the key to this room. I'm not sure how this happened by the time we got here."
Eva ceases sobbing to answer the question. "The door unlocked on its own, but then I saw someone back here and I tried to stop them. But all I found was... was..."
On the floor are spatter marks, but not many. It would be fair to assume that George was standing when he was hit with the blast. Additionally, the letter and gun Eva had received is on the floor.
Shannon flinches when questioned but continues nonetheless, "Um. I was in the parlour but I broke out. I made it to the front door where Battler found me. We went back into the parlour because George hadn't followed. I... I guess he must have run off in this direction instead."
"And where exactly were YOU?" Eva begins to regain her fire. "Where were you!? When we left the study? Did you drag us here? Why weren't you given one of these 'tasks?'"

Kyrie raises an eyebrow at Eva's questioning, "What do you mean? What "tasks", and how do you know I wasn't given one?"
Her investigation is not yet over, so she reaches towards the gun on the floor regardless of what Eva answers. Is there any heat to be felt on the barrel? Is it loaded? Has the bullet in it been used?

Eva retorts, "You weren't in the party line on the phone. You don't have a key anywhere. You weren't there when we disappeared. Where the Hell have you been and where did you go?"
The gun looks like it was impulsively dropped there rather than methodically placed. The gun is still warm however there doesn't appear to be any bullets loaded nor in the immediate vicinity.

Kyrie tries to grasp how much time has passed since she heard the gunshot before answering.
"If I told you now you wouldn't believe me. But do know we had nothing to do with this."
She then examines everyone in the room: of all those around her, who are those with wet hair, or look wet in general? She also checks her clothing just in case. The body is probably where the most information is, but Eva is in the way. Kyrie quickly thinks of a plan to separate her from the body.
"Anyway, I don't think we should stay here for too long. I know I touched everything, but we have to take into account crime scene preservation for when the police comes," Kyrie does a headcount. "...I've also noticed we are a few numbers short, who exactly is missing?"

Kyrie leans against the wall. The others have yet to answer her question, maybe a crime scene was not the place to ask this. Yet once said, words can't be taken back, so she decides to wait.

After her question is presumably answered, Kyrie motions to the door. "As I said, we should probably leave this place to the police."

GAMEBOARD PHASE ONE END
Ange withdraws from her seat snapping up her notebook, her wooden chair leg screeching against the hardwood floor as she begins to take her leave. The gentleman with her had tested her patience with this story. "N-no! Please stay-" He pleads, arm outreached. "If you seriously consider this some sort of lead, I don't think I can trust anything you have to say to me." "It is a legitimate forgery, written by the culprit themself." "And what information can you divine from this mess?" Ange bites her tongue, realising she has given him more than he's worth. The man folds his arms, leaning back in his seat, doubtful she is willing to listen. Ange sighs and opens her notebook up again. "We know the previous forgeries operated according to a set of rules. There are inconsistencies abound. I believe it is you who has painted this absurd fabrication of my family." " This is the only proof we have that your parents are innocent." Ange, stunned, sat back down.
Ange silently stood in the corner of Aurora's grand library, musing over a tattered scrap of paper. "No. This is not the one." Of course, anyone in the library, silent or no, is under perpetual surveillance of its benefactor Aurora. Appearing suddenly, the regal witch takes the paper from Ange's hand. Or perhaps that's how it always was, with Ange as mere witness. "So what do you make of this mere mortal's tale?" The witch boomed, "I can barely stomach this. Too many obfuscations and for what? Some incomplete narrative." "I would not balk at it if I were you, child of man. To many people this tale is their truth. In fact, 'Lest you prove otherwise, this story is as valid as any.Ange lets a cruel smirk creep out as she looks Aurora dead in the eyes. This was a call to action, a challenge, if you will. The game was unlike any other she had come across - this wasn't a matter of proving whodunnit - this was a matter of proving that this story is little more than a red herring. But all Ange had was a feeling. Nothing concrete... maybe...
META PHASE ONE BEGIN The argument I bring to you is this - This story, as it stands, is an open-and-shut mystery. There has been no deception made. The story you have taken part in is as valid as any other here on this site, ergo, the truth of Rokkenjima is solvable from this interrupted story alone.
If you want this story to continue, you must prove why this gameboard is fraudulent. In short: How does this mystery line up according to our established rules? What changes have been made and why?

I mean, aside from how the phases don't match the times we've established due to adult life making them impractical?
Battler stands from his seat, something's been bothering him. "It has not been revealed who the game's master is...Is Ange the Game Master? EVA sips her tea, not bothering to stand from her own seat. "If she is, indeed, the Game Master then that first red means trouble for you, Battler. This is the only proof we have that your parents are innocent would still leave you as a potential culprit. That said, just because this is said to be the only proof, that does not mean it is valid proof; after all, we're trying to prove it is anything but. Battler flinches slightly. She has a point. "Shall we settle this then? Oi, Game's M.aster, repeat this in red: 'Battler Ushiromiya is the detective!'"

Correct. This gameboard's game master has not been revealed.Blue ineffective, requires reasoning. I refuse.

This game is not fraudulent and paints an accurate portrayal of the events that took place on Rokkenjima on October 4 to October 6 1986, according to its author and true culprit, Beatrice.
Unless otherwise disputed with sound enough reasoning, this will be confirmed to be the case and this gameboard will resume.
