As far as Battler can tell, he can only feel 8 people around him. There is no response from Kyrie or Rudolf.
The phone continues to ring in the dark.

Eva fumbles around for a candle. "Does anyone have a lighter or something? We need some light! And would someone shut up that damned phone?!"

As Eva speaks she feels a thud at the back of her head. The phone ringing merges with another, she feels the floor. Then feels her top half continue to sink further, as if she were spiraling around. Suddenly she feels her back on the floor. The darkness slowly morphs into a blurry half-light. She can see a window, and Battler standing above her. No, helping her to her feet.
"Aunt Eva! Are you okay? It seems we've been locked in here."
In his hand is the phone. No. It's a different phone. This is a different room. This is the guest room of the mansion, where she stayed last night.
There are two beds, a bathroom, a small TV, and a cabinet. The lights are working in this room, it's safe to say the power is working. Hence the operating phone.
Wait. If the power was out before, how was the phone ringing?
George finds himself standing at the end of the phone line of the parlour. His memory is hazy, he remembers reaching out to the phone in the study. This is a completely different phone. How long was he out for? Shannon wakes up on the couch to the left of him. She is frightened and runs to the door. It's locked.
"Uu~! Mama!" Maria pokes and prods at her mother who finally wakes up. Maria complains about a headache of hers. Rosa feels it too.
She stands up and finds herself in the centre of Krauss' bedroom. A King bed, bathroom en-suite, drawer. And in Maria's hand, a telephone.
"Uu~! Mama! It's Beatrice!" Rosa snatches the phone out of Maria's hand.
In the darkness of the study, Rudolf blindly fires and shot and dashes out the room with Kyrie in tow. They dart as far away down the hall until the find light. They burst through to the dining room, surprisingly finding it unlocked. Inside, on the table, lies Kinzo's burnt and charred corpse. At the end of the table sits a blonde woman, it's none other than Beatrice herself. In her hand is a single gold ingot. Kyrie and Rudolf train their sights on her until they notice the bar.
She smiles grimly, when she realises that she's of more value to Kyrie and Rudolf than they first suspected.
"I imagine you have plenty of questions, and I'm more than happy to answer them. But rest assured I'm more than happy to show you where you can find more of this gold if you are willing to politely co-operate."
She stands up and reaches for a servant telephone in the dining room, she picks up the receiver and begins to dial.
A voice no-one has heard before speaks through the phone, every separated party becomes privvy to a speech:
"Good morning everyone~! I hope you had a pleasant and dreamless sleep. It is I, the Golden Witch Beatrice. I hope you're enjoying my game so far. I apologise if it's been a bit long and tedious but rest assured, the fun begins here. In the centre of each of your rooms you will find a gun, and an envelope with the key to another room.
As you can probably tell, I'm asking you all to help me with my second twilight. If you manage to make it out of your respective rooms, I'd like to ask that you sacrifice whoever you find. If you do so I will personally ensure your safety throughout the remainder of my resurrection ceremony."

"What?!" Eva yells at the phone. "Are you the one that killed Hideyoshi? Who do you think you are!? You want a sacrifice? Wait until I find you, you bitch!"
"A-aunt Eva, please calm down! Yelling threats isn't going to get us anywhere, let's just get out of here first and try to find everyone else okay?" Battler picks up the envelope and removes the key.

Battler picks up the envelope. Inside is a key to the parlor, two bullets, and a note:
"Those who remain shall tear apart the two who are close."
Eva receives a harsh and cruel laugh before being hung up on.
The wooden door is locked but the bathroom can be easily accessed. There is a small window in the bathroom, and a large ornate window in the bedroom overlooking the courtyard.

Shannon turns from the door.
Could that truly be Beatrice's voice from over the phone? But in any case, Shannon shakes her head. "There's no reason to. If you truly have split us up so, you've left all of us with the guns and yourself unguarded. Why then, would we possibly turn on each other?"
Perhaps George had a different idea, but for now, there truly was only one answer.
Shannon looks around the room for their envelope. If they were locked in, it seemed this would be the only way out. Just to be certain, however, she also checks her pockets for her master key, not expecting to find it.

The dial tone is absent, which means the call has come from inside the mansion. This also means the internal lines are working. She finds the envelope next to a gun, inside the envelope is a key to Krauss' bedroom. She also fails to find her key, expectantly. The parlor is on the ground floor, with the windows facing the rose garden. There are plenty of lounge chairs, a coffee table, and a TV.

"Come on, Aunt Eva, let's see what happened to everyone else." Battler pockets the key and tries the windows.
Eva throws the phone and picks up the gun and loads it. "Fine. But if we find that woman, don't you dare get in my way."

What to do? Go out the window? Or try and break down the door?
Still, if they were locked in, would it be safe to assume everyone else was as well? She considered using the phone to try and contact the others, but there were too many lines to try, and if she didn't know where the culprit was calling from. If they realized what she was attempting, they could cut the line...
But there was one option, wasn't there?
Shannon takes the phone from George and dials the number to Krauss's room. If they had the key to that room, then that should mean that someone who wasn't the culprit was in that room.
"Hello? This is Shannon. George and I are together. Are you alright?" She says if the phone is picked up. ca131c

It's a fair height above the ground but not completely insurmountable if one had some form of rope. The bathroom window is trickier to access, but definitely reachable with some effort. It's a slim opening, but with a tight squeeze and the right safety precautions, grants access to the edge of the roof. If Battler's memory serves him correctly, it should be possible to reach nearby drainpipe if he follows the gutter correctly. However, his fear of such a trecherous traversal without some form of security makes him reticent to the idea.

Rosa answers the phone, barking mad, thinking it was Beatrice on the line yet again. She quickly settles and reveals she was given the key to the Guest Room. Her door is also locked. She has a brief argument with Maria who also assumes it's still Beatrice on the line. "Shannon, we are fine as far as we can tell. Personally I refuse to play this game of hers. If you don't have your master key, or our own key then I'm at a loss for what I can do for you."

Eva tries the door. She has no reason to trust the woman on the phone, whoever she is.
Meanwhile, Battler tries to tie the sheets together into a rope. "Hey, aunt Eva, I wonder about something. Didn't that woman say that they want someone to pick 'those who are close' for the next deaths...? Then why are we together? Shouldn't you be with George?"

The door has indeed been locked.
Eva grits her teeth. "My thoughts exactly. But I have one good guess as to who might be with George." She curses the filthy furniture for getting her grubby hands on her son.

"I understand. The same goes for George and I. Before trying to get out, I wanted to see if we could contact anyone, and ensure everyone else was still alright." Shannon says. "No matter what she says, I don't believe we can trust her in the first place. After all, if she wanted us to kill each other, why would we be locked into the rooms we were put in? It doesn't make sense to me, if we're supposed to be able to go after each other..."
Shannon shakes her head, even though Rosa can't see it. "I'm sorry, I'm musing out loud now. I'll try and contact the guest room, to see who's there."

"See if you can get the window. I might have enough sheets to make a rope, but I'm a little wary of doing this. I haven't exactly done this before, heh." Battler ties one end of his "rope" to the bed and gives it a good tug.
Eva sighs and goes to the window, checking to see if she can open it. If not, well, she always has a gun to bash it open. "I swear, when I get my hands on her...." Eva mumbles as she works; she's not about to lose her son to that furniture, and she's not about to let the woman on the phone get her way either. If only she could get her son back and show him what she was up to last night....

The window in the bedroom facing the courtyard appears breakable enough. Shannon dials the guest room, which prompts the guest room phone to ring.

Eva and Battler both jump. Eva rushes over to the phone and picks it up, but Battler takes it from her. "Please, get the window. I'll see who it is."
Eva sighs. "Whatever, but if it's that woman again, give it to me." She goes over to the window and breaks it using the butt of the rifle.

"H-hello?" Shannon says when she hears the phone is picked up.
"This is Shannon, George and I are in the parlor." She says. "Is everyone alright?" Afterwards, she details what she's learned, with their key as well as the location of Rosa and Maria with their own key.

"Th-That's incredibly dangerous!" Shannon chides. "Please, just wait a moment. George and I are on the first floor. It'll be safer for us to get out. We'll go and let Rosa and Maria out of Krauss's room, and then we can get you two out using the key to your guest room that they have!"
Without waiting for an answer, Shannon hangs up the phone. She quickly explains to George what she's learned so far.
"Let's get out of here, quickly, to get everyone else!" She picks up the gun, and goes to the window. If she get any of them open, she'll smash one instead.
