I refuse to rebut this at the moment as you have no real evidence to support your hypothesis!

Anyone without an alibi could have done the murders, moved the bodies in the Study, used the key from Genji to lock the door, and then sneak the key into Battler's pocket. The door to the study has an auto-lock. The victims were not moved! I refuse to rebut the rest for now.

It is entirely possible that the detective was not able to see the dead bodies in the study because they never entered the room.

It is possible that not all living pieces inspected the bodies and therefore the detective could possibly have NOT confirmed their deaths.

The victims came to the place they were killed in individually. So each victim was killed in the study itself. After the murders, the culprit(s) took Genji's key and placed it in Battler's pocket.
The problem is how the culprit/victims got into the room in the first place. One could say that Genji let the culprit(s) in first, and then proceeded to become the first victim.

The victims were not necessarily killed in the study.

the key could have been stolen or ordered to be taken from genji

Erikas grave wound was not the result of a gunshot. All of the first six victims died the same way!

the key could have been stolen or ordered to be taken from genji It very well could've been, but it's also possible that Genji let the killer and victims in the study himself!

It is possible that one of the bodies is faking their death, thus stating that one of them killed the others and thus faked their own death before being discovered.

Ooh, that might be true! 6 deaths are confirmed, but not their location. And if one of the corpses are faking, then "all living people on the island are in the study." Nanjo could easily be lying too!
