"I agree we should all go together I don't think it's a wise idea to take our eyes off... some people." she says scanning over the rest of the group but particularly lingering on Shannon for a moment.

Some of the family stay behind as Eva does her search, keeping an eye out for Kinzo's return.
Some others head downstairs to retrieve the key to the garden shed to see what could be gained there.
In Krauss's room, the only thing interesting of note is the missing comforter, which had been used to move Gohda's body, but in his nearby study, Eva discovers all sorts of files and folders on all the dumb scams her big brother has fallen for in the past couple of years. Lunar Tourism, really? She also discovers the plans to turn Rokkenjima into a resort, and the preliminary files on a partnership with the Iwaguchi group.
In Natsuhi's room, Eva discovers a number of diaries, all locked. In the bathroom, she discovers in the cabinet some sleeping pills, pills for headaches, and a box of black hair dye, unopened.
Jessica's room is cute as always, though the pillows are a little jumbled, like someone was relaxing on them recently. Despite that, they're all cold to the touch.
A strange porcelain doll is in the VIP room, and in front of it is an envelope. A very particular envelope, in fact. Ones only kept in Kinzo's study.

Eva collects the documents about turning Rokkenjima into a resort and opens the letter found in the VIP room.

The note in the envelope has the same handwriting as the note left in Maria's Grimoire.
There is nothing that can save you. Everything will be returned to the witch! Along with the note are several photos, some of which are familiar to Eva. They are candid shots of her meeting with Rudolf, Kyrie, and Rosa as they made their plans to have Kinzo killed. Before Eva can ruminate any more on the meaning of this, she picks up the faint scent of smoke.

"I swear, Hideyoshi had better not be smoking in here again!" Eva puts the photos back and takes them with her, following the smell.

Hideyoshi is not smoking when Eva comes outside, though he seems nervous and stressed enough that he might want to be right now.
He, Kumasawa, Rosa and Kanon are searching for the smell of the smoke as well.
"I think it's coming from downstairs." Rosa says, and her eyes widen. "The boiler room!" With that, she dashes down the stairs.

Eva follows close behind, doing her best to keep up. "Hey! I found some things I need the rest of you to look at later! Krauss has been going behind our backs for more than embezzlement!"

"He's been wha-?" Hideyoshi asks, he and the servants follow Eva.
By the time they got downstairs, there is dark smoke in the air, coming from the door to the cellar and furnace. Hideyoshi braves a look down those stairs, and looks alarmed, immediately hurries away.
"It's completely in flames!" He says, covering his mouth with one arm, "We've got to get out of here."

Kanon and Kumasawa are already there, Genji and Shannon had gone outside with Krauss, Natsuhi and the others. In the time it takes Kanon and Kumasawa to hurry to the kitchen and come back with the largest buckets of water they can manage, the fire has spread to the top of the stairs.
"It's no use!" Hideyoshi says. "We've got to go!"
Gameboard Phase 2 end!
A single murder takes place, that of Gohda. This time, many witness it to be Kinzo himself! Attempting to put all of the bodies together, the group discovers that all of the cousins bodies have vanished.
Afterwards, the group splits, some to arm themselves with gardening equipment, the others to stay with Eva as she investigates the second floor. She's discovered a lot, but will anything lead her to the culprit?
Meta Phase 2 start!

Van Dine's 12th has not been broken, meaning there is only one killer. Rudolf, Kyrie, and Rosa were with Eva at the time of Gohda's murder, therefore these three cannot be involved. In fact, as the detective I can personally guarantee that Rudolf, Kyrie, and Rosa are not killers! - The cousins' bodies are now in the study. - The dead accomplice from the first twilight sedated the food. - Van Dine's 11th has not been broken. That is to say, none of the servants have committed murder. - Nanjo was not the first piece to go upstairs. - My own son, George, was the accomplice of the first twilight.

And breaking out the Gold already, huh? Personally, I'd wait to use it for something a little more impressive than that ;P
Rudolf, Kyrie, and Rosa are not killers.
The dead accomplice did not sedate the food.
Van Dine's 11th has not been broken.
Nanjo was not the first piece to go upstairs. I mean, it was probably Krauss, when he went to go see if Kinzo would come downstairs to eat.

Eliminating suspects is always worth breaking out the gold. - Now, of course Krauss went up first, seeing as how he's most likely involved. He has quite a bit of motive, after all! - While I'm thinking about it, as Kinzo wrote the epitaph, he would have no ability to solve it as he already knew the solution and the location of his gold. The person who solved the riddle was one of the pieces who lives and/or works on this island! - The culprit, and inheritor of the title of master of the house must be one of the siblings, their spouses, or one of the children. However, as the culprit is still alive, this rules out the children. - In other words, the killer must be either Krauss, Natsuhi, Nanjo (since he's technically not a servant), Rudolf, Kyrie, Eva, Hideyoshi, or Eva. However, Eva is the detective. Rudolf, Kyrie, and Rosa are not killers. As the detective cannot be the culprit, Krauss, Natsuhi, Hideyoshi, and Nanjo are the only ones who could be the killer.

Kanon, Shannon and Hideyoshi saw someone go upstairs (apart from Nanjo) --- So Nanjo took a knife from the kitchen and went upstairs to see who had gone there, as some people told him someone had gone up the stairs. When he arrived, he didn't find anyone. He sighed in relief and Hideyoshi, Shannon, Kannon, Genji and Ghoda appeared. Bored, Nanjo decided to show them a knife trick, which the others agreed to watch since they had nothing better to do. As he did the trick, he tripped over his own foot and accidentally stabbed Ghoda many times in the face, leaving the body completely unrecognizable. Seeing as he had killed Ghoda, he bribed the witnesses with a gold bar he found earlier and told them to tell everyone Kinzo had done it.

That's the real question, isn't it? But, the epitaph isn't as finding a good riddle in a book somewhere. Someone had to write it; so someone had to come up with both the question and the solution. Couldn't that be argued in favor as the one who wrote the riddle was also the one who solved it?
Yeah, sure, why not. The person who solved the riddle is one of the pieces who lives and/or works on this island. Like I keep saying, it was Kinzo.
